Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Christiana Care, a nonprofit health system dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures, assist in the instruction of students and Cardiology Fellows, and provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease.
  • Document patient's clinical history and technologist impressions of the images obtained on exam request forms.
  • Assist the cardiologist with obtaining images and equipment operation during transesophageal echocardiography.
  • Assist in the instruction of cardiac ultrasound students and Cardiology Fellows during their practice performance at Christiana Care.
  • Rotate on on-call schedule covering off hours and weekend rotation.
Requirements:
  • Must be a graduate of a medical diagnostic ultrasound program or other allied health profession or possess equivalent training.
  • New graduates: Registry-eligible and must sit for registry and become RDCS/RCS within first year of employment or within first year of eligibility.
  • CPR certification.
