Job Title: Full-Time Certified HVAC Tech

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team at The Budd Group in Rome, GA.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and cooling units, as well as diagnosing and repairing electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems
  • Conduct regular building tours and inspections to identify needs and execute corrective action
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Work independently and as a team member to achieve goals and objectives
  • Maintain good working order of company vehicle and report any mechanical issues
  • Follow all safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout and use of appropriate PPE
  • Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle
  • Keep accurate records, including the Refrigerant Inventory and Usage Report
  • Document all installed equipment and explain fully to management what the issue is and what is needed to correct
  • Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CFC certification (Universal or Type II)
  • One to three years experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting HVAC service issues
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
