About the Role

This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in California. As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing quality health care services to patients, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment.

You will work closely with staff physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care. Your expertise and dedication will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goal of providing accessible and affordable healthcare to our community.

Responsibilities
  • Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.
  • Consult with staff physicians as needed.
  • Furnish pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions, within your scope of practice.
  • Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as needed.
  • Supervises students engaged in specialty activities and procedures.
  • Cordi- nates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A current California Nurse Practitioner license.
  • A current California license issued by the Board of Registered Nurses of California.
  • Current registration issued by the DEA allowing the prescription of drugs.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • At least 1 year of clinical experience.
  • Proficiency in medical Spanish.
