ROLE DETAILS
This full-time position requires availability from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with required weekend shifts. Specific weekend hours will be discussed during the hiring process.
As a Veterinary Support Specialist, you will be integral to our mission of providing outstanding animal care. Your duties will encompass assisting veterinarians during medical procedures and surgeries, administering medications and vaccinations, conducting essential laboratory tests such as blood analysis and urinalysis, and delivering attentive nursing care to pets in our facility. You will also play a key role in educating pet owners on proper care practices, maintaining precise medical records, and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout our establishment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 2 years of experience or foundational knowledge in veterinary care
- Expertise in animal handling and veterinary techniques
- Excellent communication abilities
- Empathetic demeanor and capacity to remain composed in stressful situations
- Proficient computer skills
