The University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) invites applications for Adjunct Faculty positions in the Computer Networking and Security program. As a member of our team, you will teach undergraduate courses and contribute to the development of curriculum. We are seeking qualified instructors with expertise in cybersecurity who can effectively communicate complex concepts to students.

Job Summary:

This is an adjunct faculty position teaching computer networking and security courses at UMGC. The ideal candidate should have a master's degree in cybersecurity or a related field and be currently certified as a Linux+/LPIC-1 instructor. Teaching experience in higher education is preferred, but not required.

As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching and developing courses in the Computer Networking and Security program. You will work closely with other faculty members and department staff to ensure that students receive high-quality instruction and support.

About the Salary:

The salary range for this position is $1,023-$1,288 per credit hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This position is open until filled.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate courses in computer networking and security
  • Develop and implement curriculum in collaboration with other faculty members
  • Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in cybersecurity or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Certified as a Linux+/LPIC-1 instructor
  • Teaching experience in higher education preferred
