JOB DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS
Position Overview
The Tripoint Medical Center Emergency Department is strategically located to provide exceptional critical care services. Our facility features a well-organized setup with 29 beds, including specialized monitored areas and designated trauma and acute care rooms, ensuring a supportive environment for patients in need.
Sign-On Bonus: $3000
Shift Details: Night Shift from 7 PM to 7 AM
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and efficient nursing care tailored to patients and families, utilizing the nursing process to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Implement the nursing process through effective, relationship-based care.
- Exhibit technical proficiency in care delivery, ensuring safe practices and positive patient outcomes.
- Facilitate clear communication and collaboration to enhance patient care and clinical operations.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to the nursing practice.
- Demonstrate leadership that fosters optimal clinical and operational results.
Additional Duties
- Perform other assigned responsibilities as needed.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and standards.
- Refer to departmental documentation for specific duties during orientation.
- Ensure compliance with regulations for maintaining Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients.
Qualifications
Education Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing from an accredited program or
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) (Preferred)
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) (Preferred)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (Required)
- Involvement in unit or hospital committees (Required)
- Three peer reviews (Required)
- Evidence of five criteria (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Proficient understanding of nursing processes and practices (Required)
- Ability to utilize various technical equipment for patient care (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio and/or Multi-State Compact License (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required based on clinical area standards
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be required based on clinical area standards
- Nursing Specialty Certification (Required)
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and carrying (up to 50 lbs)
- Occasional climbing and crawling
- Constant talking, hearing, and hand-eye coordination
Travel Requirements
- 10% travel may be required
