Position Overview:
This role involves providing high-quality care to patients in critical condition. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic environment, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Key Details:
~ Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit
~ Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
~ Employment Type: Travel
~ Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM
~ Weekly Hours: 36 hours
~ Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Responsibilities:
As a travel RN in the ICU, you will be responsible for:
1. Monitoring and assessing patient conditions
2. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
3. Collaborating with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care
4. Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
5. Educating patients and families on care plans and procedures
Requirements:
~ Valid GA nursing license
~ Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
~ Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred
~ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with critical patients
Patient Demographics:
Adults to geriatrics, managing complex health conditions such as:
- ARDS
- Sepsis
- Stroke
- Cardiogenic shock
- Post-operative complications
Work Environment:
~ Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:2-3
~ Utilization of systems such as Pyxis and Epic for medication management
~ Scrub color: Navy Blue
~ Floating within the facility may be required
