Position Overview:
This role involves delivering direct physical therapy evaluations, assessments, screenings, and treatments. The individual will create a structured work schedule, prioritize tasks, and evaluate performance to enhance service delivery. Collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals is essential to address the neurophysiological needs of patients, adapting various physical therapy techniques accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for new patients, adjusting treatment plans based on comprehensive case information.
- Implement therapy sessions for individuals and groups, adhering to established treatment methodologies.
- Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records, documenting diagnoses, treatments, and patient progress.
- Engage with interdisciplinary teams to determine patient care strategies and participate in management meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the department.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of physical therapy principles, practices, and their interrelation with other healthcare professions.
- Proficient in evaluating patient needs and developing effective therapeutic treatment programs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to motivate patients and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to establish clear goals and objectives for patient treatment plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Capacity to foster positive therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain effective working relationships with all healthcare personnel.
- Willingness to travel or attend meetings at various locations as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with an advanced degree in Physical Therapy or those with significant experience in a mental health context.
Licensure Requirements:
Certification as a Physical Therapist by The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) is required, along with licensure by the Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy, to be obtained within six months of hire.
