As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, you will deliver direct care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ranging from adolescents to the elderly, adhering to established protocols and hospital standards.
Your strong assessment abilities will be essential in working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role is crucial for promoting patient safety, advocacy, and education.
The part-time schedule consists of three 8-hour shifts weekly, typically from 2:30 PM to 11 PM, along with approximately five on-call shifts every five weeks, covering overnight and weekend hours.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of RN experience in a PACU or ICU is required.
- Ability to perform under minimal supervision in high-pressure situations.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Strong teamwork skills in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Education Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Completion of critical care training or validated on-the-job training.
Certifications:
- Current RN licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within the first year of employment.
Work Environment:
- Requires critical thinking and the ability to work independently.
- Must be able to handle stressful situations effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Full range of motion and physical stamina are necessary.
