Ideal Candidate Profile

The perfect candidate will possess experience in managing prior authorizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately complete and update patient insurance information.
  • Employ the Electronic Health Record system to facilitate patient registration and visits with healthcare providers.
  • Verify insurance eligibility to ensure prompt billing to third-party vendors.
  • Collect co-pays and deductibles in accordance with billing policies.
  • Schedule patient appointments at various office locations.
  • Authorize necessary procedures, including surgeries and imaging, ensuring verification of eligibility and benefits for all procedure codes.
  • Pre-collect payments for specific contracts and procedures as required.
  • Document processes as needed.
  • Coordinate and route paperwork to meet physician and facility requirements.
  • Respond appropriately to urgent situations.
  • Exhibit courtesy and helpfulness towards patients and their families.
  • Ensure effective communication via telephone as needed.
  • Collaborate as a team member within the authorizations department and across other departments.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A strong commitment to delivering exceptional service, ensuring each patient's experience is professional and caring.
  • Previous experience in a medical environment is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail is required.
  • Prior customer service experience is necessary.
  • At least one year of experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
