Pediatric Oncology Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Oncology Nurse to join our team at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital. As a member of our pediatric oncology team, you will provide exceptional care to children and families affected by cancer, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to children with cancer, including administering chemotherapy, managing side effects, and coordinating treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the pediatric oncology team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless transitions between treatment phases.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure informed decision-making and optimal care outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in pediatric oncology and hematology.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research studies to advance the field of pediatric oncology.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Washington.
- 1 year of experience in pediatric oncology or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
