Essential Functions:

As a part-time nursing instructor, you will be expected to:

  • Foster a student-focused and student-centered approach in the classroom.
  • Support and assess student academic achievement.
  • Motivate students to further their education and professional development.
  • Create a supportive and nurturing learning environment where students feel safe to learn and seek assistance when needed.
  • Provide opportunities outside of class for students to get assistance.
  • Enforce the college rules as published in the Student Handbook and Joyce University Catalog.
  • Confer with the Assistant Provost of Student Affairs when students are non-responsive or absent from class.
  • Submit grades and records accurately and promptly in accordance with the college grading policy and procedure.
  • Report any course or college-related problems to the Department Director or Chair of Nursing Programs.
  • Comply with all requirements set forth in the Faculty Handbook.

Requirements:

We're seeking a candidate with a Master's degree in nursing or a related field, with a strong background in teaching and clinical experience. Preferred qualifications include a doctoral or other professional degree, APRN or equivalent experience, and 2-3 years of teaching experience.

Terms of Employment:

This is a part-time position with a minimum of 8 hours per week. The location is flexible, with options for remote, on-site, or clinical partner locations.
