Cargo Handler

Forward Air is seeking a skilled Cargo Handler to join our team in a fast-paced shipping/dock operation. As a Cargo Handler, you will be responsible for loading and unloading freight on our trailers in a safe and timely manner.

• Loading and unloading freight on 53 ft. commercial trailers
• Operating scanners to track and maneuver freight through our distribution network
• Accurately labeling boxes and preparing freight for shipment
• Safely loading and unloading trailers using equipment such as hand trucks/pallet jacks and forklifts
• Verifying documentation and condition of freight to ensure quality standards are met

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed
• Forklift and general freight handling knowledge is a plus
