About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to join the Fox team in Los Angeles, CA as a Freelance Broadcast IT Engineer and contribute to the success of our live events.
Key Responsibilities- Support live studio broadcast and post-production operations with a focus on networking, ensuring seamless execution of events.
- Collaborate with a team of engineers with expertise in multiple operating systems and broadcast gear to resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical support for gear including Network Switches, IP routers, Automation, and 2110 broadcast devices.
- Work on location at the Fox Pico Lot to ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Understand CAD drawings to plan and implement expansion projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- 2+ years of experience in IT-based engineering roles, with a strong background in networking and broadcast operations.
- CCNP Certification, with a focus on network protocols and routing.
- Advanced computer/IT skills, with experience in network configuration and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of networking, subnets, and IT configuration, with a focus on broadcast-specific requirements.
- College education in a relevant field, such as computer science or engineering.
- Prior work experience in television trucks or network facilities, with a focus on broadcast operations.
- Broadcast router experience, with a strong understanding of network protocols and routing.
- Experience with Evertz, with a focus on broadcast-specific requirements.
