Charge Nurse-Operating Room

The Charge Nurse, Operating Room, is a critical role that requires strong leadership and clinical skills. This position oversees the nursing and support staff in the Operating Room, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Operations Management: Oversee the Operating Room department, preparing daily staffing assignments, mentoring staff, evaluating performance, and facilitating patient flow, admissions, and discharges.
- Patient Assessment: Assess the needs of individuals, families, and communities to identify potential health or safety problems, instruct individuals and families on health education and disease prevention, and provide after-care.
- Treatment and Evaluation: Consult and coordinate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity, and develop and modify patient care plans as indicated by patient responses and conditions.
- Medication Administration, Documentation, and Reassessment: Administer medications, document patient information, and reassess patient conditions.
- Monitoring, Recording, and Reporting: Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patient conditions and vital signs.
- Education: Associate's Degree Required
- Work Experience: 1-3 years of professional nursing experience in a patient care setting
- Licenses: RN-Registered Nurse - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies Required, BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required, ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association Required
