Job Responsibilities

As a Commercial HVAC Technician, your primary duties will include:
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing commercial HVAC equipment, including split and package units, WSHP, VAV, FPB, and VRF systems.
  • Providing excellent craftsmanship and quality of work.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, adhering to proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use.
  • Maintaining a fully stocked and clean company vehicle.
  • Coordinating and maintaining company-issued tools and equipment.
  • Completing accurate timecards, service activities, and inspection reports.
  • Regularly communicating with the team, Service Coordinator, and Service Supervisor.
  • Informing Inside Sales of proposals needed for issues found and recommended repairs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience.
  • An Associate's degree or equivalent experience and training.
  • Technical registration with TDLR.
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • The ability to provide basic hand tools, such as gauges, meters, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and a smartphone.
  • The ability to perform basic trouble shooting/system analysis.
  • Self-sufficiency while maintaining a team structure.
  • Driveness and passion for our company vision and serving our customers.
  • Willingness to seek training, coaching, and expand knowledge of the industry.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • The ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • A valid driver's license with at least 3 years of registered driving history.

Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to lift and maneuver large, heavy equipment, parts, and tools weighing over 50 pounds. You must also be comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and from high elevations, as well as in confined spaces and extreme temperatures.
