Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Nurse at Juniper Communities, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional care and support to residents in a senior living setting
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the health and wellness component of the community
  • Assisting with medication administration and documentation
  • Observing patients/residents under treatment to identify progress and side-effects
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs
  • Providing assistance with activities of daily living
  • Administering prescribed medications, injections, wound care, and other basic medical care tasks
  • Collecting lab samples
  • Communicating with other members of the team, residents, families, and medical professionals

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • LPN licensure (required)
  • RN licensure (preferred)
  • LVN licensure (preferred, not required)
  • BLS Certification (preferred, not required)
  • Familiarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
  • Perfect physical condition and stamina
