Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Class A CDL Van Driver to join our team at Pratt Recycling, Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor/trailer to swap out and pick up loaded trailers at customer locations as scheduled.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-and post-trip inspections to ensure the tractor and trailer are in good working condition.
  • Operate company vehicles in accordance with DOT and company safety regulations.
  • Communicate with Route Supervisor and Customer Service Group regarding route status and delivery issues.
  • Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure all necessary tasks are performed regularly.
  • Load and unload freight as required by customers, adhering to DOT load balancing and load securement requirements.
  • Provide basic customer service related to delivery issues and assist in resolving related problems.
  • Ensure loads adhere to DOT load securement requirements and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Notifies Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of recycling commodity classifications and grades of paper and plastics, as well as commingled collection processes and allowable materials.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting 75 lbs.
  • Commercial Driver's license and safe driving record required.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary.
