We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Pharmacist to join our team at Elevance Health. As a Specialty Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to laws and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of medications.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to prescribers on pharmaceutical care and medication management.
  • Answer patient questions and provide information on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of medications.
  • Lead the activities of pharmacy technicians and delivery/equipment technicians.
  • Dispense and compound medications according to policy and legal requirements.
  • Plan, implement, and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Pharmacist in clinic and/or alternate site/home health pharmacy service.
  • Current active unrestricted license to practice pharmacy as Registered Pharmacist (RPh).
  • Multi-state licensure required if providing services in multiple states.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Sterile Compounding experience.
