Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing Mammography Examinations: Carry out breast imaging exams with a focus on obtaining diagnostic-quality images following established protocols
  • Operating and Maintaining Equipment: Ensure mammography equipment is functioning correctly, performing routine checks and maintenance as needed
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for mammograms by explaining procedures, addressing questions, and easing concerns to create a comfortable and calm experience
  • Patient Positioning: Position patients effectively and use appropriate imaging techniques to obtain clear, accurate breast images
  • Evaluating and Adjusting Images: Assess image quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure that the images are diagnostically accurate
  • Collaborating with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with radiologists and physicians to review results and assist with any follow-up or further evaluation
  • Maintaining Records: Keep detailed and accurate patient records, including imaging protocols, findings, and follow-up recommendations
  • Following Safety Protocols: Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and patient safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for all
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • BLS Certification (required)
  • ARRT Certification (required)
  • 2+ years of experience as a Mammography Technologist in a clinical or hospital setting
