Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team at Next Move Healthcare.

In this role, you will develop trusting relationships with patients and their families while providing dietary education and planning that directly impacts the quality of life for individuals, especially those with ESRD (End-Stage Renal Disease).

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for dialysis patients.
  • Develop and implement personalized nutritional care plans.
  • Provide continuous counseling and education to patients and their families on diet and nutrition.
  • Monitor patient adherence to dietary recommendations and review monthly lab results.
  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to complete comprehensive assessments and care plans.
  • Participate in the Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) process, contributing to continuous quality improvement.
  • Assist with the management of medications, such as Vitamin D analogs, calcimimetics, and phosphorus binders, under physician direction.
  • Work with patients to access nutritional resources, including financial assistance and community programs.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, federal, state, and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Stay updated on changes in renal nutrition and participate in state and national programs related to ESRD nutrition.
Qualifications
  • Registered by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics on the Commission of Dietetics Registry (Required).
  • Current state licensure (if required by the state) and meets all applicable state/licensing requirements (Required).
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical nutrition experience as a Registered Dietitian (Required).
  • Member of the American Dietetic Association (Strongly Preferred).
  • Previous experience in nutrition related to ESRD patients (Preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
Additional Skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong understanding of renal diet and medication management.
  • Proficiency in patient education and documentation.
