About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Avera Prince of Peace-Skilled Nursing. As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of Moving Health Forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and Plan Patient Care: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Administer medications, perform treatments, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Document Patient Information: Accurately and thoroughly document patient information, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Licensure and Certification: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure is required.
- Work Schedule: Primarily 12 hours shifts - 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am. Varied Shifts; Every 3rd weekend.
