Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team at Northshore Healthcare. As a Respiratory Therapist RRT, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in multiple locations across Chicagoland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients to determine the most suitable method of administering treatment
  • Provide respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by physicians, following hospital policy and procedures
  • Document treatment, equipment maintenance, and quality control activities
  • Communicate treatment plans to patients and families in a clear and concise manner
  • Monitor patient physiological response to therapy, with special attention to pediatric and neonatal patients
  • Provide patient and staff education
Requirements
  • Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible status
  • State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure within six months of employment
  • Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association
