Software engineers play a crucial role in our success by evaluating requirements and crafting inventive solutions. They are accountable for executing these solutions throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
  • Assume technical leadership for NOV CTES's cloud data delivery strategies and architectural designs.
  • Guide team members in the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based SaaS solutions for data sharing with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with clients during technical planning and requirements gathering phases, including design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting engineering software solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code, taking full ownership of developed components.
  • Implement software development best practices, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operational protocols.
  • Oversee cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and security, implementing enhancements as necessary.
  • Offer technical support for software solutions to partners and clients through various communication channels, including after-hours support when operational issues arise.
  • Comply with all NOV HSE policies, utilize appropriate personal protective equipment, and actively participate in safety meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 7-15 years of experience in object-oriented software development with a deep understanding of SOLID design principles.
  • Hands-on experience in leading the architecture, design, and development of web APIs.
  • Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud services for implementing and maintaining public-facing web APIs.
  • Experience in developing .NET backend applications using C# and Entity Framework.
  • 2-5 years of practical database expertise, including SQL, stored procedures, and complex SQL debugging.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of serverless computing and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, ELK Stack, or CloudWatch.
  • Ability to articulate design concepts clearly through graphical, written, and verbal communication.
  • Proven experience in mentoring software development and testing engineers.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in medium to large team software development processes and tools.
  • Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are advantageous.
