At Teknova, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Environmental Health and Safety to join our team. This is a critical role that will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our associates, visitors, and contractors, as well as promoting the accomplishment of our objectives relating to the protection of the workplace and natural environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Company's efforts to accomplish its objectives relating to the protection of the workplace and natural environments.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, particularly those administered by Cal OSHA/OSHA, the EPA, and the County.
- Implement and oversee required OSHA safety programs and update them as appropriate.
- Evaluate and improve the Company's existing EH&S programs and practices.
- Develop and implement training programs for emergency preparedness, PPE compliance, and safe chemical handling.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, and use root cause/corrective action methodologies to reduce accidents and incidents over time.
- Advises on aspects of EH&S in the design, layout, construction, and use of new and existing buildings and equipment.
- Oversee the Company's Safety Data Sheet program for all raw materials and products.
- Maintain records relating to EH&S in accordance with regulations and Company policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, and/or a scientific field in combination with relevant experience.
- Relevant safety certifications such as OSHA 30-hour Industrial.
