Diesel Mechanic Position

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at First Student. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle and equipment issues, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with mobile emergency services as needed.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license required; willingness to obtain CDL while employed.
  • At least 1 year of automotive or diesel maintenance and repair experience or technical school education.
  • Possess a mechanic's tool set.
  • Willingness to participate in ASE certification program, with training, testing, and bonuses provided.
