Position Overview
PeaceHealth Peace Harbor is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to enhance our Emergency Department services. Our facility is a Critical Access Level III Trauma Center, providing essential healthcare in a vibrant coastal community.
The Emergency Department is supported by a team of Board Certified Emergency Medicine physicians, Registered Nurses, and Emergency Department Technicians. This role entails working four (10-hour) day shifts per week, including weekends, in close partnership with an ED physician.
Peace Harbor offers a range of services typically not available in smaller hospitals, such as:
- 24/7 in-house respiratory therapy
- Onsite CRNA services available around the clock
- Radiology services three days a week, with 24/7 access to X-ray, Ultrasound, and CT scans (including a 128-slice scanner). Daily MRI, Echocardiography, Nuclear Medicine, and Cardiac Stress tests are also available.
- Access to General and Orthopedic Surgeons 24/7
- In-house Hospitalist services available around the clock
- Telehealth capabilities and direct access to specialty consultations
- Emergency Medicine experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Main responsibilities will be in the Emergency Department, with potential for additional coverage in an Urgent Care/Walk-in Clinic as needed
