Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry

Hunter Care Health is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a data entry role. As a Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering medication orders into our pharmacy software system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter medication orders into the pharmacy software system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Verify all information is complete and accurate, adhering to the Oklahoma Pharmacy Law Book.
  • Update patient profiles with necessary information from prescriptions, ensuring allergies, therapies, and current medications are up-to-date.
  • Sort and deliver prescription orders to the appropriate departments or fill areas.
  • Communicate with clients and facilities regarding any issues during the data entry process, including inventory shortages, special orders, or recalls.
  • Assist with locating lost or missed orders upon request.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to client inquiries.
  • Assist pharmacists with other tasks and duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy Technician Permit preferred, without disciplinary restrictions.
  • 1+ year's experience in data entry in a retail pharmacy setting or long-term care pharmacy preferred.
  • Experience with pharmacy computer software programs.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
Work Environment:

The Data Entry Pharmacy Technician will work in a fast-paced, closed-door pharmacy setting. The technician must be able to handle multiple tasks, including data entry, answering telephone calls, and filing, while meeting daily deadlines to ensure all scripts are entered, filled, and packaged for next-day delivery.
