Job Summary:
Banner Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN to join our Medical Oncology Telemetry unit at Banner North Colorado Medical Center. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direction of a registered nurse and/or licensed physician. You will be responsible for observing, contributing to the plan of care, implementing, reporting, and documenting patient care in accordance with department policies, standard of care, and state scope of practice.
Responsibilities:
- Observe and report patient's physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
- Contribute to the plan of care under the direction of a registered nurse, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family, and health team input.
- Implement care based on delegated interventions identified in the care plan and medical orders, within scope of practice.
- Report condition of patient, including signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change in the patient's condition to the registered nurse and/or physician.
- Document observation, implementation, and data in the patient record.
Requirements:
This position requires a current LPN license in the state of Colorado and a high school diploma or equivalent. You must have a strong understanding of nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in a medical oncology telemetry unit is preferred.
