Auto Damage Appraiser

Plymouth Rock Assurance is seeking a skilled Auto Damage Appraiser to join our team in the Lynn, MA and Revere, MA areas. As an Auto Damage Appraiser, you will be responsible for preparing physical damage estimates on vehicles where a claim has been submitted for first or third-party damages.

• Damage Assessment and Estimation: Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to determine the extent of damage and prepare accurate estimates for repairs.
• Claims Handling: Negotiate settlements with customers and other parties involved in the claim, ensuring that all parties are satisfied with the outcome.
• Communication and Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met and concerns are addressed.
• Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure that all estimates and claims handling activities are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including claims adjusters, agents, and body shop representatives, to ensure seamless communication and efficient claims handling.

• Auto Damage Appraiser License: Must have a valid Massachusetts Auto Damage Appraiser License.
• Experience and Skills: A minimum of 1-3 years of auto claims appraisal experience, with a strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Education and Training: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel to body shops, salvage yards, and other locations; must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions.
