Job Summary

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI exams with precision and accuracy, utilizing advanced imaging equipment and technology. This role requires a strong understanding of MRI principles, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Conduct MRI exams on a variety of body parts, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Prepare patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Verify and follow doctor's orders, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal imaging results.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiography program is required.
  • RT and MR certification from ARRT is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Tech and 2 years of MRI experience is highly preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Certificate in Cardiovascular Technologist (CV Tech), Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT) is an asset.
