The Clinical Dietitian II is a registered dietitian/nutritionist who possesses expertise in both general and specialized pediatric nutrition. This role requires either an advanced degree or a relevant board certification. The Clinical Dietitian II employs evidence-based practices to develop comprehensive nutrition care plans and is skilled in medical nutrition therapy tailored for pediatric patients.

The Clinical Dietitian II plays a vital role in nutrition care decisions that promote positive health outcomes and serves as an effective educator. This position demands concentrated knowledge and experience in one or more pediatric nutrition sub-specialties. The Clinical Dietitian II is expected to take initiative in addressing routine challenges in the workplace and manage daily responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing daily workload and identifying solutions to challenges.
  • Delivering nutrition care to assigned patients and advocating for their nutritional needs.
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Providing professional guidance to in/outpatients, staff, and community members while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree required OR Bachelor's degree with one Board Recognized Specialty certification in a relevant specialty area.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a registered dietitian, with at least one year in pediatrics.

Certification/Licensure:

  • Must be registered with the Commission of Dietetic Registration and licensed by the appropriate state authority.
  • Heart Saver CPR certification is required; BLS CPR certification is preferred.
