As a Registered Nurse in our Ambulatory Surgery Center, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing services through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a positive workplace culture aligned with our Service and Behavioral Standards.
  • Deliver nursing care by following the structured nursing process.
  • Prepare and maintain the surgical unit, ensuring all supplies are available and organized.
  • Assist in the preparation of medications and equipment essential for patient care.
  • Conduct patient admissions, assess their condition, and develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and during the recovery phase.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a balanced workload and high-quality patient care.
  • Engage in continuous education and self-assessment to enhance care quality.
  • Participate in training and mentoring new staff members.

Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Oregon.
  • Current CPR certification and ACLS certification or the ability to obtain ACLS within six months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or the ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • A minimum of three years of nursing experience, including at least two years in critical care, PACU, or Medical Surgical Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current PALS certification.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
  • Flexibility and leadership skills in managing unexpected changes in procedures.
  • Strong understanding of the nursing process and clinical skills for patient care.
  • Knowledge of peri-operative nursing care in an ambulatory surgery setting.
  • Familiarity with pre and post-operative equipment and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, staff, and patients.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care.
