About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Oncology Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team at Banner University Medical Center Tucson.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the care of complex surgical oncology patients, working closely with attending surgeons, residents, and inpatient nurses to ensure seamless transitions of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, including daily inpatient management, diagnosis, initial workup, surgery, discharge planning, and postoperative follow-up.
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients undergoing hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and educate patients and families.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date on the latest advances in surgical oncology and best practices in patient care.

Requirements:

  • Degree from an accredited ACNP/PA program.
  • Current Board Certification, DEA license, and BLS certification required.
  • Oncology experience preferred but not mandatory.
