Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL Driver to join our team at Springfield Electric, a Sonepar Company. As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of electrical supplies, materials, and parts to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive company truck(s) with great care, adhering to all prevailing traffic laws and safety protocols.
  • Deliver products varying in size to different sites, following procedures and documentation.
  • Provide associates with possible solutions and/or contact information when problems arise, and report customer opportunities and problems to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Load and unload materials from truck in an accurate, efficient, and safe manner, utilizing proper body mechanics and equipment.
  • Receive and check in deliveries, pickups, and returns to ensure quality and quantity of products.
  • Cut wire, rod, or strut safely, utilizing the appropriate equipment.
  • Sweep floors, remove trash, and maintain the warehouse in a tidy and safe condition.
  • Pick, pack, and ship orders, ranging from small boxes to pallets.
  • Record losses of damaged or defective materials.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL (commercial driver's license) and ability to pass MVR (motor vehicle record).
  • Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles.
  • Ability to unload material at customer site, including heavy and bulky items.
  • Willingness to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and power tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation.
  • Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills.
