Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of assigned patients and develop comprehensive care plans, ensuring meticulous documentation of nursing interventions.
- Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment, collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures, offering psychological support and clear communication regarding treatment plans.
- Administer medications and perform necessary tests, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Facilitate effective communication of care plans to patients, families, and team members, adhering to all privacy regulations.
- Serve as a mentor to new staff, providing guidance and support in delivering high-quality patient care.
- Ensure the operating room is adequately prepared, maintaining cleanliness and functionality of equipment and supplies.
- Implement and monitor aseptic techniques, ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process.
- Document all nursing care accurately and timely, coordinating postoperative management with relevant nursing teams.
- Engage in continuous evaluation of patient progress and modify care plans as necessary to meet individual needs.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse License and certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- A minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in a perioperative setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care protocols, and health and safety guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
