Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. As a key member of our emergency and ICU department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our dedicated team of doctors and technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist doctors with examinations and treatments on emergency patients
  • Participate in patient care and diagnostics, including lab work, exams, and treatments
  • Utilize medical software to input charges and data into patient records
  • Set up and perform radiographs
  • Stock and maintain treatment rooms
  • Send out lab work and perform in-house bloodwork using advanced laboratory equipment
  • Administer medications and perform blood draws and IVC placements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 months experience as a veterinary assistant (waived if currently enrolled in veterinary education program)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of commonly used medications and medical procedures

Physical Requirements:

This role requires frequent bending and standing, routine lifting, and restraining animals. Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
