We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team at UHY LLP. As a Tax Manager, you will play a key role in guiding and overseeing our clients, as well as supporting our internal leaders and driving growth in our Great Lakes Region.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and review financial information for clients, including business and individual tax returns, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage client relationships and act as a liaison between internal staff and leaders to ensure high-quality work is delivered.
- Lead and manage multiple tax engagements from start to finish, ensuring they are completed within budget and timeline.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies, handle special projects, and facilitate advanced tax research.
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients, develop and motivate staff, and demonstrate advanced tax technical knowledge.
- Participate in firm-wide marketing, recruiting, and team-building efforts to drive growth and success.
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant position, preferably in public accounting or professional services.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or other recognized business credential.
- Must be a CPA or hold a similar certification, and maintain required CPE credits annually.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government for government engagements.
