Position Overview

The Eastwood Company is thrilled to introduce a new opportunity within our team - E-commerce Magento Specialist.

The E-commerce Magento Specialist will be responsible for configuring settings related to updates and enhancements of our online platform, while managing tasks associated with continuous improvements of our digital storefront.

This position is remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the e-commerce platform
  • Manage and prioritize incoming business requests, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to assess, assign, and resolve tasks linked to Magento 2 administration and content management
  • Establish and uphold quality and consistency standards for the e-commerce site's content and structure
  • Stay updated on CMS-related changes resulting from software upgrades, and regularly evaluate new CMS features that can benefit the business.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for CMS usage and related processes, providing training to user groups as necessary
  • Handle data updates – perform bulk data manipulation and transformation as required, format files for import/export, and set up jobs for regular updates
  • Adjust site settings as necessary – including stores, shipping, catalog, and cart rules
  • Assess, configure, and test custom modules and extensions as needed, coordinating with team members to ensure proper implementation and adoption
  • Support the code development process through system analysis, requirements documentation, and testing of site functionalities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Magento e-commerce, particularly in maintaining sites and managing updates, ideally with Magento 2
  • Proficiency in HTML with the ability to create and troubleshoot customer content layouts
  • Excel skills, including the ability to write macro functions and utilize scripting for data transformation tasks
  • Strong problem-solving abilities that are proactive and positive in nature
  • Excellent organizational skills that enable the management of multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing workloads, and meeting deadlines
  • Strong documentation and writing skills, including the ability to simplify complex information for easy understanding by users of varying knowledge levels
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills that facilitate the identification of essential requirements as opposed to mere preferences
  • Effective verbal communication skills that foster strong partnerships and help negotiate conflicting requirements
