Housing and Urban Development Environmental Specialist Role Summary

As a Housing and Urban Development Environmental Specialist at BBG, INC., you will play a vital role in providing expertise on environmental regulations and guidelines related to HUD-funded projects. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with environmental scientists, engineers, and other technical experts on projects involving HUD regulations, preparing technical reports, including ESA and HEROS, Noise Assessments, and 5- and 8-Step Process Reports, and reviewing technical reports written by others on HUD Group team, including ESA and HEROS, Noise Assessments, and 5- and 8-Step Process Reports.

We offer a competitive salary of $90,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package. **Responsibilities:**
* Coordinate with environmental scientists, engineers, and other technical experts on projects involving HUD regulations.
* Prepare technical reports, including ESA and HEROS, Noise Assessments, and 5- and 8-Step Process Reports.
* Review technical reports written by others on HUD Group team, including ESA and HEROS, Noise Assessments, and 5- and 8-Step Process Reports.
* Provide recommendations for further environmental investigation or remediation where necessary/warranted.
* Complete specific project tasks according to deadlines and within budget;
* Maintain communication with team members throughout the course of the project.
* Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress status is on schedule.

**Requirements:**
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in biological/physical/environmental sciences, or related field;
* 5 or more years of relevant experience with HUD Phase I ESA Reports, HEROS Reporting System, as well as HUD Part 50 and 58 environmental reviews.
