Position Overview:

The Procurement Specialist for Auxiliaries & Services will oversee a designated set of Sub-Categories for Auxiliaries & Services across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of Sub-Categories for Auxiliaries & Services in the North American region;
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes Global Purchasing, Local Operations, Quality Assurance, and Logistics;
  • Formulate and execute the procurement strategy for Auxiliaries & Services to enhance the company's performance;
  • Establish and cultivate a robust supplier network in North America, adhering to the directives of the Auxiliary & Services Coordinator and the Global Commodity Manager, focusing on cost efficiency, quality, service excellence, and innovation;
  • Assess risks and opportunities associated with each sourcing initiative;
  • Report directly to the Plant Auxiliary & Services Coordinator.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of extensive experience in Procurement within a multi-national context and complex purchasing frameworks;
  • Experience in Transportation management, with a solid understanding of 3PL, 4PL, inbound/outbound logistics, TMS, fleet operations, and warehousing is advantageous;
  • Strong grasp of procurement best practices, particularly within the Automotive sector;
  • Proven ability to thrive in a global organization and a fast-paced, results-oriented environment that often requires working under pressure.

Education and Language Skills:

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred;
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
