Job Summary

A Material Handler at Select-A-Vision is responsible for receiving and processing incoming shipments. This involves verifying the accuracy of shipments, inspecting goods for quality, and preparing products for storage. The ideal candidate will have experience with inventory management, distribution, and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload trucks and sign bills in a timely manner
  • Process incoming merchandise accurately and efficiently
  • Inspect goods for quality and damage
  • Prepare products for storage and inventory
  • Assist in replenishments to active pick areas
  • Perform cycle counts and assist in bi-yearly physical inventory
Requirements
  • 2 years experience with inventory, distribution, and operational processes
  • Basic skillset in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word)
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a team setting
  • Physical requirements: lifting 35lb boxes, standing 75%-100% of working day
Physical Demands
The position requires the ability to perform the following physical demands:
  • Sit up 50% of applicable work time
  • Use hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items (keyboards) up to 100% of applicable work time
  • Stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time
  • Lift and carry up to 35 pounds up to 50% of applicable work time
  • Close Vision: see clearly at twenty inches or less
