Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced educator to join our team as a Senior Tutor for SAT prep at IvyMax Learning Centers. As a Senior Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and test-taking strategies to students preparing for the SAT.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions to engage students and promote active learning.
  • Prepare course materials, such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts, to support student learning.
  • Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction to ensure alignment with academic standards.
  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students in achieving their academic goals.
  • Select and obtain materials, such as textbooks, with the help of center staff members and management team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching issues and share best practices.
  • Positively reinforce student self-confidence and self-esteem by providing individualized support and encouragement.
  • Be organized and well-prepared for every lecture to ensure a productive and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or higher related to the subject area.
  • At least 2 years of direct teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Reliable transportation for commuting between centers and other locations.
  • Availability to work weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Compensation and Benefits:

Our estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 based on your location and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive benefits, including a relocation bonus, opportunity for advancement, and access to professional development opportunities.
