About the Role

Piedmont Newton Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading a team of nurses, and ensuring the smooth operation of the unit.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill newborns and their families
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient unit operations
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit performance
Requirements
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
  • BLS certification required
  • One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting required
  • Two or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
