Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a Sr. Cost Manager to join our energy team. Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting stage gate estimate development and budget sanction documentation through the provision of relevant project cost data and projected staffing requirements.
  • Performing all budget system setup requirements utilizing agreed Cost or Work Breakdown Structures to assign and control costs in accordance with agreed execution strategies.
  • Managing all project costs against sanctioned budgets and agreed baselines throughout each stage of the project, reporting baseline deviations in a timely manner.
  • Closely monitoring cost performance against key performance indicators using systems such as Earned Value for productivity, trending and early warning identification.
  • Executing all project cost transactional requirements including Purchase Order creation, invoice settlement, shared cost contributions and finance related ledger reconciliations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related field, plus fifteen years relevant experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A thorough understanding of Project Management, Building Design & Construction, Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling, Building Cost Modeling and Risk Analysis.
