Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Sr. Cost Manager to join our energy team. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting stage gate estimate development and budget sanction documentation through the provision of relevant project cost data and projected staffing requirements.
- Performing all budget system setup requirements utilizing agreed Cost or Work Breakdown Structures to assign and control costs in accordance with agreed execution strategies.
- Managing all project costs against sanctioned budgets and agreed baselines throughout each stage of the project, reporting baseline deviations in a timely manner.
- Closely monitoring cost performance against key performance indicators using systems such as Earned Value for productivity, trending and early warning identification.
- Executing all project cost transactional requirements including Purchase Order creation, invoice settlement, shared cost contributions and finance related ledger reconciliations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related field, plus fifteen years relevant experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A thorough understanding of Project Management, Building Design & Construction, Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling, Building Cost Modeling and Risk Analysis.
