Aggregates Logistics Specialist

**Job Summary:**

Detroit Aggregate is hiring an Aggregates Logistics Specialist to join its team. This role involves operating cement tankers and hauling deliveries to job sites safely and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate cement tankers and haul deliveries to job sites in a professional manner
  • Assemble and disassemble loading and unloading tubes
  • Loading and unloading cement tanker trailers into silos using pneumatic hoses
  • Clean trucks after loading and delivery
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections correctly

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior commercial driving experience with doubles trailers is essential
  • Previous aggregate hauling experience is highly preferred
  • A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required
  • Reliable transportation is a must
  • A valid DOT Medical Card is necessary
  • The ability to lift and carry 50 pounds over sustained distances
  • Standing, walking, crouching, stooping, and sitting for varying times during shifts up to 12 hours long

Benefits:

  • A competitive starting pay rate of $32 per hour
  • A comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance

Schedule and Overtime:

  • 10-hour shifts and 12-hour shifts available
  • Day shifts, night shifts, and overtime opportunities
  • Weekends as needed

Supplemental Pay:

  • A signing bonus is available

Experience and Licenses:

  • 1 year of doubles experience is preferred
  • A valid CDL A license is required, including a doubles endorsement
