Core Responsibilities:- Support healthcare providers during patient consultations, including measuring vital signs and conducting point-of-care tests.
- Administer medications according to physician directives and ensure thorough medication reconciliation.
- Manage appointment scheduling, follow up on no-shows, and oversee hospital discharge processes.
- Handle incoming calls, communicate messages to healthcare providers, and address patient inquiries.
- Obtain necessary prior authorizations from insurance entities for medications and services.
- Assist in training new staff and students, and facilitate referrals to community resources.
- Maintain precise patient documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Pursue opportunities for professional development and contribute to quality improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and uphold a positive approach to patient care.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Effective communication skills with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology and computer applications.
- Exhibit sound judgment and strong problem-solving capabilities.

Applicants must have completed an accredited LPN program and hold a valid license in Illinois. CPR certification is mandatory. Experience in ambulatory care is preferred.
Physical Requirements:This role involves light physical activity with non-strenuous daily tasks. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Schedule:Standard work hours are Monday to Friday during the day shift, unless otherwise indicated. Compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations is essential.
