Stormwater Planning Specialist

We are seeking a Stormwater Planning and Compliance Specialist I in North Carolina, who will contribute to a more diverse, inclusive, and forward-thinking environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of stormwater and erosion and sediment control related experience.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct field inspections and reviews within specified timeframes.
- Prepare and submit required reports within deadlines.
- Maintain StormWater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) documentation, including reports, environmental and water quality permits, and approved plan markups.
- Assist with sediment loss reviews and documentation.
- Develop technical reports and assessments using strong scientific writing skills.
- Collaborate with the SPC team and clients to determine strategies for maintaining compliance with regulations and permit conditions.
- Work effectively with team members both in-person and remotely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and ArcPro GIS, or other GIS programs.
- Ability to work independently and communicate technical information effectively.
- Knowledge of regulations and permitting requirements for National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, stormwater, erosion and sediment control, and buffers, streams, and wetlands.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
- Valid Driver's license with a good driving record and ability to drive.
- Travel required as necessary and as needed by project or client commitments.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, notes, standards, and specifications.
- Experience in conducting inspections and reviews, drafting technical reports, and maintaining project documentation.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to collaborate with a team.
