The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in electrical construction along with proven experience as an Electrical Estimator. This position demands exceptional computer proficiency and leadership capabilities. Strong organizational skills, coupled with effective written and verbal communication, are crucial.

The Senior Estimator is responsible for accurately assessing the costs, timelines, materials, labor, and equipment necessary for various construction projects. Responsibilities include conducting cost analyses, estimating project durations, sourcing vendors and subcontractors, and ensuring efficient resource management to meet deadlines for electrical assignments. Our company values skilled professionals and recognizes individuals who contribute significantly to our success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delegate tasks within the estimating team for each project
  • Calculate costs for electrical construction by reviewing and assessing available documentation
  • Evaluate projects for value engineering opportunities while considering specific job conditions that may impact labor and material procurement
  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, bid documents, and other relevant materials to determine project requirements and formulate bid proposals
  • Identify inconsistencies, conflicts, and other issues within bid documents
  • Gather information and pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Prepare bidding instructions, bid forms, and other solicitation materials as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with industry-specific estimating software
  • Attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying potential issues
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently for yourself and others
  • Experience in leading and developing team members
