Job Summary

The Nurse Triage Registered Nurse is a key member of our Patient Engagement Center team, responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities
  • Triage patients via telephone, providing timely and effective care
  • Assess patient needs, develop care plans, and coordinate with healthcare teams
  • Provide patient and family education, manage test results, and coordinate medication refills
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Two years of clinical experience, with one year of RN experience or nursing student clinical rotation experience considered
  • Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Preferred proficiency with Epic Nurse Triage Software and call center technology
  • Expert communication skills, oral and written, with proven ability to multi-task and mentor colleagues
  • Strong proactive organizational skills, excellent customer service skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC
